What the French Village at Ba Na Hills is

The French Village is a themed area with French-inspired squares, a church, castle-style buildings and cobbled streets. It is a modern construction. It is not a preserved colonial town and not a medieval village, even though the architecture looks old from a distance. The village sits in the summit area, and you reach it by cable car.

Several well-known sights are close by but are not part of the village itself: the Debay wine cellar, the Le Jardin d'Amour gardens and the Linh Ung pagoda. This page keeps them apart, so you know which one you are looking at and what each costs. The village is included in the basic Ba Na Hills ticket, which also covers the return cable car, the Golden Bridge, the gardens, the spiritual areas and most of the Fantasy Park.

The square, the church and the streets

The village is a place to walk and look, not a single attraction with a gate.

Squares and streets

The cobbled streets and open squares are the heart of the village. Plan to walk it slowly, with time for photos and a meal.

The church

The church is part of the themed design. Single buildings can have their own opening hours, so treat the church as a look-in rather than a planned stop and check on site whether it is open.

Castles and viewpoints

The castle-style buildings frame the squares. When fog moves in, the view across the village can disappear within minutes, and it can clear just as quickly. Read the Ba Na Hills weather notes before you choose a time of day.

House rule on food

Food and drinks from outside are not allowed in the village. Plan to eat and drink on site, or take the buffet combination ticket if you want a set lunch.

Debay wine cellar: nearby, but not in the village

The Debay wine cellar belongs to the middle mountain area, in the same zone as the gardens, and not to the French Village at the summit. It is a historic remnant: it was built in 1923 and is around 100 m long. That makes it a genuine piece of the old hill station, while the village around it is modern.

The cellar is not covered by the basic ticket. The 2026 price list shows three tasting levels: Silver for VND 100,000 with a standard drink, Gold for VND 200,000 and Platinum for VND 300,000, each with the matching wine. Visitors under 140 cm can look around without a drink for free, and Gold and Platinum are for guests aged 18 and over. A tasting is not included in the basic ticket.

Le Jardin d'Amour and the Linh Ung pagoda

Two more stops with their own character, both inside the same park.

Le Jardin d'Amour

The garden covers around 21,000 mยฒ and is made up of nine differently designed sub-gardens. It lies in the middle mountain area. Which flowers are in bloom depends on the season and the weather, so do not plan the visit around one species.

Linh Ung pagoda at Ba Na

This is the spiritual area on the mountain, with a seated Shakyamuni Buddha that is 27 m high. Treat it as a place of worship: dress modestly and keep your voice low. It is not the same place as the Lady Buddha on the Son Tra Peninsula, and it is not the Linh Ung pagoda in the Marble Mountains. Three places share the name or the theme, so check which one a map or a tour refers to.

Which cable car line to take

One line serves the middle area with the bridge and the gardens, and another leads straight into the summit area. You cannot assume that you may choose any line you like, so follow the signs and the staff on the day.

Fantasy Park next to the village

The Fantasy Park is an indoor amusement park. Most of its games are in the basic ticket. Not included are the light museum, the toboggan run, climbing, prize games and the 10D cinema. A single toboggan ride costs VND 70,000 at 08:30โ€“09:30 and 16:30โ€“17:30, and VND 100,000 from 09:30 to 16:30. Children under 120 cm cannot ride; from 120 cm to under 140 cm they ride free with an accompanying adult over 18.

Plan the French Village visit

Four things that decide how the day goes.

Tickets are digital

Since 1 September 2026, one shared QR code replaces paper coupons for the services that are included in the ticket. Keep your phone charged so you can show the code at each entry.

Time of day

The park is open from 08:00 to 22:00, subject to change. Do not assume that every cable car line and every attraction runs for the whole period. Check the last ride down on the day you visit.

Fog and rain

On the mountain you need rain and wind protection, and in the evening it gets noticeably cooler than in the city. Fog can hide the view for long stretches in the cooler months.

Not a preserved village

If you come for old colonial buildings, look at the history of Ba Na Hills first. The Debay cellar from 1923 is the old piece, and the village is the new one.

French Village at Ba Na Hills: frequently asked questions

Is the French Village a real old village?

No. It is a modern themed area with French-inspired buildings. The Debay wine cellar from 1923 is the historic part of the mountain, and it lies in the middle area, not in the village.

Is the French Village included in the ticket?

Yes. The basic ticket covers the cable car, the village, the gardens, the spiritual areas and most of the Fantasy Park. The Debay tasting, the light museum, the toboggan run, climbing, prize games and the 10D cinema cost extra.

Is the Debay wine cellar in the French Village?

No. It belongs to the middle mountain area, next to the garden zone. You pay separately for a tasting: VND 100,000 for Silver, VND 200,000 for Gold and VND 300,000 for Platinum in 2026.

Can I bring my own food into the village?

No. Food and drinks from outside are not allowed. Eat on site, or choose the ticket with the lunch buffet.

How long is the cable car ride up to the village?

A ride up takes about 20 to 25 minutes on a line. Queues, transfers and walking come on top, so plan most of a day.
